BHB Project at a glance
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) (formerly known as DFID) in Bangladesh is supporting the five-year 4th Health, Population, and Nutrition Sector Programme (HPNSP) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) through the Better Health in Bangladesh (BHB) Programme. This programme provides technical assistance (TA) to the MOHFW’s divisions, directorates, and wings as well as to the line directors for the HPNSP’s operational plans. The BHB MSH TA Programme began providing interim support to the 4th HPNSP on 12 September 2018 lasting for 18 months, with its first extension occurring from 12 March 2020 to 31 December 2020. This TA will continue till 31 December 2022. Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is providing technical assistance to the current BHB Programme in the below two components:
- MSH-implemented TA: Better Health in Bangladesh, Good Pharmacy Practice (BHB GPP)
- MSH-procured TA: Priority TA activities identified by HPNSP line directors
